Gait analysis without expensive equipment

PodGait is a powerful gait analysis program. It uses the PodGait phone app to capture slow motion video which is automatically sent to the PodGait PC analysis software. The video uses computer vision to track any generic colored markers to provide fast and accurate clinical insights.

Capture

Process

Set heel strike, toe off, and calibration frame. Click to mark each anatomical landmark to be tracked. Process video.

Analyse

Distance, angle, perpendicular angle, height from ground and velocity of every marker is measured over time and charted.

Pixel to millimeter conversion allows actual milimeter movement conversions from video frames.

Wireless Camera Control

QR code pairing connects your phone in seconds. Preview, arm, and record from the desktop for a seamless professional experience. High speed video capture used natively from the phone camera. Video is automatically transferred to your PC for analysis after capture.

Frame-by-Frame Player

Run of the mill video playback wasn't meeting the standard, so a fully custom video playback system was built for PodGait. Every frame is cached for buttery smooth playback control. Scrub through ultra high FPS video at absolutely any speed you need for demonstrating to patients with total control and clarity.

Normative Comparison

PodGait outputs huge amounts of data, but what does it all mean? Overlay patient data against population percentile bands (p5–p95). See exactly where each patient's measurement falls.

Generic Colored Marker Tracking

Colored dots are tracked through every frame using an advanced computer vision set of algorithms, robust to fast motion and changing conditions like temporary occlusion.

Positional Data Cloud Sync

Use of PodGait contributes to the normative data sets. Marker positional data, gender, age and tags are sent to the PodGait servers to be collated and combined into the normative data sets. No personally identifiable information nor videos ever leave your PC. Opt-out is available in settings.
